Writing and teaching are
my two passions in Life.
In fact, I have been writing my whole life, starting in childhood. I graduated with an MA from Cardiff University and have been teaching creative writing now for over 15 years. I am a published author and poet – you can buy some of my work in my shop. Having been published widely in poetry magazines and anthologies in the UK and USA, I am now the editor of As Above So Below, an online poetry magazine that has been running for 5 years. Seasoned and aspiring writers can submit their poetry to me for publication. Take a look here for more information.
My specialities
I specialise in both the creative writing process (the universal ingredients and what is individual to you as a person) and writing from grief (how to express the pain and healing journeys). I have taught on retreats, in libraries, museums and art galleries, schools and prisons, facilitating school pupils (11-16), undergraduates, post-graduates, families, people with mental health difficulties, offenders, the elderly, the bereaved.

I offer training to teachers in how to get your pupils to write creatively and training to counsellors in how to use poetry with your clients as well. I am always happy to discuss how creative writing can support you and your needs.
